Pedia is reporting that South Park fans are planning on boycotting Mission Impossible 3, unless their demands are met. The terms areas follows: They will boycott Viacom's upcoming Tom Cruise movie Mission: Impossible III, until Viacom's Comedy Central puts the South Park Scientology spoof episode back on its schedule.

These Scientologist have more power than most would think they have. I don't understand how Tom Cruise and the chef were able to get this show off the air to begin with. There is nothing more I'd rather see than Tom Cruise failing, but I know everyone will go see this movie immediately. This boycott was probably started by some guy who sits around all day in his underwear, while he is still living with his parents' basement at 35.

Last month, the Motion Picture Association of America announced one of its boldest sorties yet against online piracy: a barrage of seven federal lawsuits against some of the highest-profile BitTorrent sites, Usenet hosts and peer-to-peer services. Among the targets: isoHunt, TorrentSpy and eDonkey.

But, as always, one prominent site is missing from the movie industry's announcement, and it happens to be the simplest and best-known source of traded movies -- along with pirated video games, music, software, audio books, television broadcasts and nearly any other form of media imaginable. The site is called The Pirate Bay, and it's operated by a crew of intrepid Swedes who revel in tormenting the content industries.

Why would Google put out these pics? The simple answer is to pimp what a cool place it is to work and lure some talented programmers from Microsoft. I don't buy it though. I think they are doing one of either two things: First they might be luring said programmers by showing them this bullshit and as soon as they walk in the door they strap them into a chair that electrocutes you if you get up from your computer and hook you up to an IV filled with Red Bull so you can work 20 hours days. Or more likely, Google is secretly an evil corporation plotting to take over the world by means some secret code they are hiding on our computers.

Woman Sues Hotel After Suffering 500 Bed Bug Bites

Last year, there were reports of serious bed bug infestations in dozens of states. Now, a Chicago woman is suing a hotel for $20 million after waking up one morning with more than 500 bed bug bites.

"My body felt as if it was on fire. I just wanted to tear it off,” Leslie Fox said.Leslie Fox, a 54-year-old bookings agent, says that after four nights at the 700-room Nevele Hotel in Ellenville, New York last July, she awoke to find red, itchy welts all over her body.

"I had no idea what was happening to me. We noticed the blood on the bed. I became very upset and alarmed,” she said.

Fast food toilets cleaner than ice machines

A seventh grader from Tampa recently won her school science fair with an experiment that compared levels of bacteria in the toilets and ice machines of five different fast food restaurants. According to 12-year-old Jasmine Roberts, the toilets contained less bacteria 70 percent of the time. For the toilet samples, Roberts flushed each toilet and then scooped up some water with a sterile beaker. For the ice, she took samples from machines inside the restaurants as well as from ice ordered at each drive-through window. The samples were tested at Tampa's Moffitt Cancer Center where Roberts volunteers. The video that accompanies the story has footage of a graph comparing the bacteria in toilets versus ice. Some of the differences are vast. Unfortunately, Roberts doesn't disclose the names of the restaurants.

Spider-Man Robs Comic Book Store

A robber wearing a Spider-Man mask was caught on surveillance video Tuesday stealing a set of rare comics from a store in Culver City, Calif. Among the issues stolen were Fantastic Four #1, X-Men #1, and the comic in which Spidey first appeared, Amazing Fantasy #15, valued at around $2,500 an issue.
The man walked into the shop around 11:30 a.m., but store employees thought nothing of a customer dressed in partial costume, reports KCBS-TV's Suzie Suh."He's wearing a Spider-Man mask, he must like super-heroes," said Alan Gardner of Dream World Comic Books.

A Central Ohio man allegedly told police last week that he likes to drink the urine of adolescent boys. Alan Patton, 54, is in jail after allegedly telling Gahanna, Ohio, police about his affection for urine.

Police said Patton goes to family restaurants and movie theaters and waits for boys in a bathroom stall. Investigators said he shuts off the water to the child-level urinal and puts a cup in the bottom.

"He goes back and retrieves the cup and drinks the urine," Detective Ron Fithen said. Patton allegedly told police that he leaves the stall after the child leaves.Fithen interviewed Patton after he was arrested while leaving a movie theater last weekend."Listening to him describe it, it's like listening to a crack or cocaine addict. He's addicted to children's urine," Fithen said.

Anyone who pays attention may have noticed that I've been a bit of a 'mashup' nut lately. Well today i picked up a music magazine from my local newsagent with a free cd attached. It was actually the reason I got the mag, Titled 'The Crown Jewels - a tribute to Queen'. Imagine my suprise when track 10 turned out to be a mashup Queen's Another one bites the dust and Hendrix's Purple Haze :)

STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING

That's right gang, Movie Trailer mashups. This new craze is sweeping accross the net, Now it's something that has been around for a while but it seems [at least to me] that it's only recently come into the foreground and have people have sat up to take notice.

Being a fan of both Toy Story 2 and Requiem for a dream I found THIS mashup by accident, Now I can't stop watching it. I should warn you tho that the humour might be lost on anyone who hasn't seen both films.

I've had a few ideas of my own, so I'll see how those pan out. And you should be able to find some more @

Sleepless in seattle recut as a horror movie - I thought it already was
Brokeback to the future - I think that explains itself.

There are others to be sure...Anyone else got mashup links? Comment and let me know. If there is sufficient interest we may look at hosting a mashup contest.

If you wanna have a go yourself you can find movie trailers for download at sites like Movie List
and you'll need some type of video editing software, like windows movie maker, adobe premiere or equivalent.

It's been a few years since we've thought about the comely 25-year-old Floridian, whose photo first appeared on TSG in 2002 as part of a collection of mug shots that we dubbed "Foxy Felons." In June 2000, Hicks was arrested after selling 49 Ecstasy tablets to an undercover cop in Rockland County, New York. In January 2001, she copped a reduced felony plea for the $400 drug deal.

Boy, 12, hides bullet wound

A 12-year-old boy who was shot by a friend Saturday in Eagleville didn't tell anyone until the round was found lodged in his back, a sheriff's deputy reported. Edward J. Patton of East Castle Street in Murfreesboro was treated for the gunshot wound Sunday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Deputy Brandon Cisek reported.
The child was visiting a friend who retrieved a .22-caliber rifle and pointed it at him. The friend apparently didn't think the rifle was loaded and pulled the trigger.His friend checked the wound, then got scared about getting into trouble and begged Edward not to tell his parents. They didn't hear the sound of the rifle firing because they were playing loud music.

Shakespeare death mask 'genuine'

A 17th-century death mask claimed to be that of British playwright William Shakespeare could be genuine, according to new research.

The mask, discovered in a ragpicker's shop in 1842 and now owned by the German city of Darmstadt, has long been a subject of controversy.

It bears the high forehead and prominent nose and beard associated with the Bard and bears the inscription "+ Ao Dm 1616", apparently meaning "Died Anno Domini 1616", the year Shakespeare passed away at the age of 52.
But leading scholars have questioned the provenance of the mask and also said it is not a close enough match to the tiny handful of portraits that can be attributed to Shakespeare.

Exponential growth

I found this to be really wierd, thought I would share it.

Take a sheet of paper of the ordinary variety - letter size for the Americans, A4 for the rest of the world - and fold it into half. Fold it a second time, and a third time. It's about as thick as your finger nail. Continue folding if you can. At 7 folds it is as thick as a notebook.

If you would have been able to fold it 10 times, it would be as thick as the width of your hand. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to do so more than about 7 times. Try it for yourself. At seventeen folds it would be taller than your average house. Three more folds and that sheet of paper is a quarter way up the Sears tower. Ten more folds and it has crossed the outer limits of the atmosphere.

Mom jailed after dropping off girl at school

A 27-year-old League City woman who police said confused the weekend with a weekday and dropped her 6-year-old off at school was arrested Saturday.

Lt. Bruce Whitten of the League City police department said police believe the mother thought Saturday was a school day and drove her daughter to Ferguson Elementary that morning. Despite the lack of activity at the school or cars in the parking lot the child was let off at the school, Whitten said.

A few hours later a passer-by saw the child, who was coatless in a chilly drizzle, and called police.Whitten said the passer-by offered a set of hand warmers to help keep the girl warm and waited until police arrived.

An undertaker director faces criminal charges after organising a funeral service for a man who was still alive.
As Bogoljub Topalovic's coffin was being lowered into the ground, his daughter's mobile phone rang.
She was surprised, and then happy, to receive a call from the supposed corpse who was wondering why none of his family had been to visit him that day.
It seems a nurse, keen to claim the commission paid for information about new deaths, had mistakenly noted down the wrong name when ringing the funeral home. The funeral staff then collected someone else's corpse.

Congress gets Hustler magazine, even if it is unwanted

The porn magazine arrives every month at your congressman's office. Tucked in a conservative-looking manila envelope, the latest edition of Hustler goes to all 535 members of Congress. Free of charge. Not that most members want it. It usually gets thrown in the circular file marked “trash.” But like clockwork, it keeps coming, despite efforts to have it stop.

The spokesman for Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, recently tried to halt the mailing. Nope. Several members of Congress have sued to make it stop, only to lose. Something about the public being able to seek redress from Congress means they have to take it, apparently. But that doesn't mean they have to be happy about it. “It's a disgusting abuse of the system,” Cannon says. “It's a nasty, tricky little thing to do by a person with no conscience.” The magazines have been coming for more than a decade at least.

Publisher Larry Flynt says he started sending them as soon as his magazine began publication in 1974, but an Associated Press story from 1983 has Flynt initiating the mailings that year. Either way, he's not going to stop mailing Congress.

Man Attempts Suicide by Crucifixion

A Hartland man was treated at a Pittsfield hospital after he nailed himself to a cross. The 23-year-old man apparently was trying to commit suicide Thursday evening in his living room, the Bangor Daily News reported.

Somerset County Sheriff Barry DeLong said Monday that no charges will be filed. "There is no crime here," he said.

Police said the man appeared delusional and told them he had been "seeing pictures of God on the computer." He told them he had not seen the hit movie "The Passion of the Christ," which depicts the Crucifixion of Jesus.

Lt. Pierre Boucher said the man took two pieces of wood, nailed them together in the form of a cross and placed them on the floor. He attached a suicide sign to the wood and then proceeded to nail one of his hands to the makeshift cross using a 14-penny nail and a hammer.

"When he realized that he was unable to nail his other hand to the board, he called 911," Boucher said.

The White House was bombarded with questions on Monday about why it failed to go public with news that Vice President Dick Cheney shot a fellow quail hunter until the day after the accident.
The victim, Harry Whittington, 78, took pellets in his cheek, neck and chest when Cheney fired his shotgun while aiming for a bird during a hunt in southern Texas on Saturday, and was in stable condition at a Corpus Christi hospital.
Whittington was moved out of intensive care on Monday afternoon but Peter Banko, administrator of Christus Spohn Hospital, said he did not know when Whittington would be discharged.
"His condition continues to be stable ... it's not critical, it's not serious. He's in stable condition, doing extremely well," Banko said.

With a purported link to Adolf Hitler driving up the price, a World War II-era German gun sold for $140,025 in an online auction that ended Thursday night.
Bidding began Jan. 30 on http://www.gunbroker.com and stalled for days at $13,000 before rising as Thursday's deadline loomed. At least 60 bids were put in for the weapon; the name of Thursday's winning bidder was not released.
No one knows for sure whether Hitler owned the Krieghoff Drilling shotgun/rifle engraved with the initials "A.H."
The gun was worth about $7,000 without a connection to the Nazi dictator, said Wes Lane, owner of Midwest Exchange, the Bloomington pawn shop that hosted the auction.Lane said the weapon originally was taken as a souvenir when U.S. forces seized a Hitler hideaway in May 1945.

Pop star Britney Spears has defended photos of her holding her baby son on her lap while driving, saying she was trying to escape the paparazzi. The singer issued the statement after several photos of the incident were circulated on the internet.
"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us," Spears said.
The photos show Spears driving in traffic with one arm round Sean on her lap, rather than strapped into a baby car seat, while a passenger sits next to them.

Google married its email and instant messaging services today in a union designed to streamline online communications.The Silicon Valley internet search giant introduced Gmail Chat, which allowed users to quickly start instant message (IM) conversations with people they were emailing, product manager Keith Coleman of Google said."We wanted to make it easy to switch back and forth between IM and email, and let you keep a record," Mr Coleman said.
"If you compose an email, with a single click, you can start chatting with them."The history of the conversation will be right in your inbox. Gmail Chat treats IM and email the same way, all saveable and searchable."Gmail Chat was designed to "leave a nice trail, like email" but had an "off the record" feature that left no trace of selected exchanges.

On a side note, wait about 3 weeks or so and buy as much (goog) stock as you can. Save it for your kids college or at least until the next earnings report, you won't be dissappointed. When the Chinese profit reports come out all the "google" haters will be holded their arses. Trust Me, would I lie?
